Walker Textures® Transition
A New Way to Look at Acid-etched Glass!
Walker Textures® Transition: 2 Ways To F-F-F-Fade Away
True Fade
Walker Textures® True Fade provides an etched finish that subtly fades into a clear, fully transparent surface. This made-to-order solution opens up tons of creative possibilities. You now have a sustainable solution that provides coverage where you want it while transitioning to clear areas to benefit from maximum light penetration into the space.

Advantages
- Smooth etch transition with no bleeds
- A rich consistent finish which will not alter with time
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications
Design Considerations
The True Fade etched effect can be made to a maximum of 142’’ long. Parameters must be taken into consideration for each stock sheet in order to achieve your vision.
Fading: The fading area must be no more than 4’’
Direction: The direction of the fading area can be achieved either vertically or horizontally but not both
Number: The maximum number of transitions on stock sheet is two, see examples below
Product Specifications
True Fade is a unique finish, the smoothness and level of translucency of the most opaque area falls in between our Satin and Velour finishes.
Etching: On one surface
Colors: Clear or ultra-clear
Thicknesses: 3MM to 19MM (1/8’’ to 3/4’’) subject to glass availability
Dimensions: Minimum 60’’ X 130’’; maximum 96’’ X 144’’
Quantity: The production of Walker Textures® True Fade is subject to a minimum quantity of 5002 feet on 6MM glass or less on thicker glass. For further details, please contact our Customer Service Department.
Gradient
The Walker Textures® Gradient process provides total control of the design to maximize daylighting and private areas. The possibilities are simply endless. The design of this solution can be expressed by using dots in various spacings of your choice.

Advantages
- Allows natural light to flow into the space without any obstruction
- Full control over the design and its density
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications
Design Considerations
The Gradient acid-etched effect can be made to a maximum of 128’’ long. The other parameters to consider in order to achieve your vision are as follows:
Dot Size: 1/8’’
Density: No minimum or maximum
Gradient: No minimum or maximum span of the Gradient effect
Product Specifications
The etching of Gradient is equivalent to the Velour finish.
